Ali Ehsan Sifat

Ali obtained his Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. His doctoral studies investigated how exposure to electronic cigarettes can affect brain glucose utilization in adult and neonatal brain ischemia (loss of blood and oxygen supply). He is currently working as a postdoc in the same institution.

Ali is also interested in memory, cognition, and consciousness research. The human mind fascinates him and he wants to learn more about the mysteries of the mind. In particular, he is interested in the origin and nature of human consciousness. After writing a number of research articles, he now wants to enhance his story-telling capability targeting a broader audience. Before his doctoral studies, Ali finished B.S and M.S. in pharmacy from University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. In his pastime, Ali enjoys watching movies and TV series, soccer, and writing fiction.
