Author: Nola

Nola is currently a third year student pursuing her PhD at Kent State University with Dr. Katherine Rawson as her advisor. Her research focuses on questions related to how students remember and comprehend complex materials. Two questions she is currently investigating are: (1) how do common textbook features affect retention? and (2) how do different techniques used alone and in combination affect comprehension of complex materials? Her research is currently supported by the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship. When not doing research, she enjoys playing with Alvin the puppy, cooking (and eating) new things, and exploring new places.
