Taylor Stolberg is a Cogbites contributing writer and biomedical sciences PhD candidate at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. She completed a post-baccalaureate fellowship at the University of Michigan Medical School, where she studied molecular mechanisms of the neurodegenerative disease spinocerebellar ataxia type 3 (SCA3). She is primarily interested in the neurological mechanisms of working memory and information processing, especially in the pathology of conditions such as Autism, Huntington’s, ALS/FTD and after traumatic brain injuries (TBIs). Additionally, Taylor is an advocate for disability accessibility and inclusion; she has independently authored three articles on the science funding cuts and neurodiversity, including in the national science magazine ASBMB Today.
