Becca Carson

Becca (she/her) is a Psychology Master’s student at Simon Fraser University in the Cognitive and Neural Sciences track. Broadly, her research uses non-invasive measures of brain activity, such as electroencephalography (EEG) to extract the neurocognitive components of human attentional control through event-related potentials (ERPs). Her current research was influenced by her prior experience in clinical EEG, where she recorded, analyzed, and trained brain activity in individuals with various neuropsychiatric conditions. As a result, she is also interested in the emerging field of neurotechnology and its potential to support optimal cognitive performance. Outside of academia, you can usually find her gaming, reading, or picking up a new skill or hobby.
