
Brendan is a PhD student in the Science of Learning and Metacognition Lab at the University of Texas at Austin. Broadly, his research focuses on the cognitive and socio-motivational underpinnings of academic success. His current areas of interest include retrieval practice, the utility of metacognitive judgements, and educational data mining. Before arriving at UT, Brendan studied cognitive science at Dartmouth College.
Outside of research, Brendan can be found engaging with Austin’s photography, board gaming, and Dungeons and Dragons scenes. He also has a penchant for creating psychology-themed twitter bots.
