Gargi (she/her) is a recent Master’s graduate in Bioscience, with an Integrated BTech–MTech in Biotechnology. Her research interests lie at the intersection of neuroscience, cognition, and neurodegeneration, with a particular interest in how these processes intersect with women’s reproductive and mental health—an area she believes remains underexplored.
She has research experience in Alzheimer’s disease, including developing methods for the detection and quantification of low-level amyloid-beta biomarkers. She is currently exploring computational approaches to biological research while working towards her longer-term goal of pursuing a PhD. She is particularly interested in the questions that emerge where biology meets cognition, behaviour, and the way we experience the world.
Outside of research, Gargi is an avid reader and a bit of a history nerd. She loves exploring new places, follows far too many sports, and spends her downtime playing badminton or gaming.
