Michelle founded cogbites, manages the site, and edits all guests posts. She is a fourth year PhD student studying Cognitive Psychology at Kent State University. Her research applies theories of learning and memory to enhance educational practice. She is particularly interested in how learners understand and manage their own learning. Before moving to Ohio, she completed her undergraduate studies at UC Santa Cruz.
Michelle is passionate about science communication and outreach and advocates for open science. She also serves as an APA Campus Ambassador and is a member of the APAGS Convention Committee.
When she’s not doing research, Michelle enjoys making music, traveling, and hanging out with her ball python.
