Sara is an assistant professor of psychology at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY. She completed her PhD at the University of California Santa Cruz. Sara is interested motivation, particularly how people strategically regulate levels and styles of motivation in themselves and others. This includes investigations into goal setting behavior, task management styles, desirable difficulties in learning, and factors like mindset and grit. When she’s not in the classroom shouting about any number of tangential real-life examples of cognition, she can be found in her vegetable garden, running long distances very (very) slowly, or tackling a home improvement project.
