Sofia is a PhD candidate at the Rockefeller University. She studies how cells in the brain of fruit flies create and store memories of space. Sofia is also a contributor to Science Connected, a non-profit on-line science magazine. When she is not in the lab, she loves talking and writing about science, visiting National Parks, and making pottery. She lives in NYC with her partner and two cats.
