Brendan is a fifth-year PhD student at the University of Texas at Austin in the Science of Learning and Metacognition lab. Broadly, he researches the cognitive and socio-motivational underpinnings of educational success. His current areas of interest include category learning, metacognitive judgements, and educational data mining. Before coming to UT, Brendan studied cognitive science at Dartmouth College. Outside of research, Brendan can be found riding his bike or enjoying the Live Music Capital of the World. He also has a penchant for creating psychology-themed twitter bots.
