Author: Sharon Jaramillo

Sharon Jaramillo is a doctoral student in the psychology department at the University of Notre Dame. Her research has focused on cognitive processes underlying proportional reasoning, math anxiety, and adaptive strategy use. After completing her master's degree, she has continued her doctoral training at the University of Notre Dame. Sharon's research examines math anxiety and metacognition, with a particular focus on how students monitor and regulate their thinking during mathematical problem solving. She is especially interested in developing, evaluating, and implementing evidence-based interventions that improve feelings of apprehension towards math and improve math learning experiences.
